Troubleshooting

I am having difficulty connecting to or opening the session. It seems like the page will not load properly.
You may have a specific security blocker set up on your computer that is prohibiting you from connecting to the session. If you experience this, try to open it on your mobile device, which offers the same functionality as a desktop or laptop, to see if this bypasses the issue.

I am getting “Connection Lost” error when attempting to participate in the session.
When this occurs, like other types of web experiences that require higher bandwidth resources, you’ll want to ensure you do not have other programs running in the background that could be competing for access to your internet connection. Alternatively, you may want to try accessing the session on a different device, such as a mobile phone, tablet, or a device with a wired internet connection.

My computer is picking up the AI agent’s voice as my responses or input.
If this occurs there are several options you may want to try:

  1. Mute AI: On the bottom left side of the Voice Interaction session, there are four buttons that allow you to control your experience. If your microphone is picking up sounds from the AI agent’s voice, you may elect to mute the agent (the fourth button on the right).
  1. Load the Chat interaction: When launching the profile builder, you can choose between Voice Interaction and Chat Interaction. If you are having issues with your microphone or speakers, try the chat functionality.
  1. Use earphones or headphones: To prevent your computer’s microphone from picking up unnecessary background noise, or the AI agent’s voice, you may want to use earphones or headphones to listen along to the AI agent as they guide you through the process.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the AI Profile Builder?
The AI Profile Builder is an interactive AI tool, specifically designed to optimize GLG expert profiles by summarizing your professional background through a brief conversation. The improvements to your profile allow our internal teams to have a better understanding of your experience and to identify you for projects with greater speed and accuracy.

Why should I participate?
A strong profile is a great start, but it can only capture so much. The AI interview is designed to surface the nuance and context that a resume or bio typically can't, things like how recently you've worked in a specific area, the depth of your hands-on experience, or your familiarity with a particular market or customer segment.
That added context is what helps us match you to opportunities that are a genuinely good fit, rather than ones that just look right on paper.

Where can I find it?
The AI Profile Builder is available under the Home section of your GLG profile under 'Things to do' and in the GLG for Experts mobile app. If you don't see it, let us know at NetworkMemberSupport@glgroup.com.

Is participating in the AI Profile Builder paid?
No, the interview itself isn't a paid activity. However, the information you share helps us better understand your background and expertise, which improves our ability to match you to paid consultation opportunities.

Where can I view the AI interview transcript, and will it appear on my GLG profile?
The insights from your interview feed directly into our matching systems. You won't see a summary or output in your profile yet — but that's something we're actively building toward. In a future update, we plan to surface those insights back to you so you can review and refine them.

What kinds of information about my experience/expertise are most important to include?
Focus on specifics that go beyond your resume or LinkedIn profile. That includes recent projects, niche areas of expertise, industries or geographies you know well, and any context on the depth or recency of your experience in a given area.

It's also worth flagging any direct customer or end-user experience. For example, if you've recently evaluated, purchased, or implemented a software product, or have hands-on experience as a customer in a particular market, that's exactly the kind of detail that helps us match you to the right opportunities. The more concrete and current, the better.

I started a session but didn't finish. Can I pick up where I left off, or do I have to start a new session?
Yes. Once you start the conversation, you can pause or close the browser and pick up where you left off by navigating back to your profile's home page. We'll also send a reminder via email if you have a pending session that needs to be completed.

What if I want to update my answers or add new information later?
You can request a new session at any time by reaching out to Member Success at NetworkMemberSupport@glgroup.com. Since your background and expertise evolve, we encourage you to participate again whenever there's something meaningful to add, such as a new role, a recent project, or experience in an emerging area.

Can I still connect with a GLG associate to discuss my profile?
Absolutely. Our Member Success team remains available to provide support. You can reach out to us anytime at NetworkMemberSupport@glgroup.com.

What does GLG do with the data it gathers?
The information is securely stored in GLG's database, and the security of your information is our top priority. To find more information on how GLG gathers and uses the data you provide, check out our Privacy Policy.

How is my personal information protected when I use GLG's AI Profile Builder?
The information you provide through the AI Profile Builder is used similarly to how resume or work history data is utilized by GLG, to make better matches and improve our ability to search for ideal experts on potential consultations and projects.
